Awareness surrounding Breast cancer is incredibly important as early detection, often through screening can catch the disease when it is most treatable. According to Mrs Oluwakayode who was the chief educator, she advised that the personal breast cancer test should be done 5 days after the monthly menstruation. She stated that the main cause of Breast Cancer is still unknown yet it could be caused by several factors such as exposure to radiation or chemicals and it could be hereditary as well. To be safe, a woman should undergo Mammogram once a year. She stated that the signs of Breast cancer are Lump, Pains around the nipple and others. A regular self breast examination can help prevent breast Cancer. CERVICAL CANCER This is caused by Human Papilloma Virus (HPV). It is not hereditary. It is Sexually Transmitted. To prevent it, a woman must undergo regular screening and get vaccinated. After the session of lectures, individual examinations were carried out by the medical professional present.
